Apples
2010 Apples
We expect few if any apples this year since removing the Yellow Delicious tree and severely pruning the Cortland tree.

2009 Apples
Last year we had an overwhelming apple harvest--about 8 bushels of Cortland apples and 16 bushels of Yellow Delicious--really too much. This year we aren't sure what to expect because we cut the Yellow Delicious tree down. It got damaged last year and its apples were too fragile. Without the Yellow Delicious Tree to pollinate the Cortland, we aren't sure whether we will have any apples this year, or maybe a few. We replaced it with a Serviceberry Tree. We would have actually preferred a Crabapple, but wanted to avoid another apple pollinator.

For last year's crop, we sold some at Spring Hill farmers market, gave some away, filled refrigerator bins & my daughter's spare refrigerator. The rest went Harvesters.
